Double Down Saloon
About This Spot
Stepping into Double Down Saloon is like slipping into a well-worn leather jacket — familiar, a little rough around the edges, and unmistakably genuine. This isn’t a place polished for tourist crowds or neon dazzled by the Strip’s glare. Instead, it offers a quieter kind of pulse, where every corner hums with the weight of its dive bar roots and the steady beat of bass-driven live music.
The atmosphere feels deliberately offbeat, darkly lit and comfortable in its own starkness. Time slows here, inviting visitors to settle in rather than rush out. It’s a refuge for those who find charm in the unvarnished and warmth in low lighting, expectant of stories unfolding over frosty beers and cleverly crafted drinks like a bacon-infused martini or a spiked Bloody Mary that hints at the unexpected.
The crowd mirrors the venue’s personality — a casual, welcoming mix of locals and wanderers who appreciate a break from the high-gloss Vegas scene. You’ll find people chatting over shared music moments, the occasional burst of laughter around a balloon artist’s whimsical creations, or simply enjoying the solace of a jukebox set to a deep, carefully curated playlist. Service here is personal and sincere; bartenders like Dixie bring not just skill but an easy warmth that feels like greeting an old friend.
For those who crave an experience that’s a bit roughhewn yet honest, where the music is just as much the mood as the drinks, Double Down Saloon stands as a compelling alternative to the city’s more polished haunts. It’s not about impressing your senses with flash—it’s about settling into a scene that’s alive with character and quietly celebrates the joy of the unexpected.

Double Down is interesting! I would probably never go again if I saw the place with all the lights on. Anyway, I went to support a couple of people I know in the bass performance last night. I only gave one star for food because I wanted to say n/a, since there was none. Great place for old-school dive bar atmosphere! Great music.

Dixie is hands-down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing! Every time I see her, she greets me with a smile and an energy that lights up the room. She’s fun, warm, and genuinely makes the whole experience better. I truly enjoy her company each visit—she knows how to make a drink just right and knows how to make people feel welcome. Dixie isn’t just serving drinks, she’s serving great vibes every time!

Always nice to find a local dive bar when I'm on the road and away from home, that reminds me of home. Friendly and chill crowd and great service. The live music was awesome. A great alternative to the strip if that's not your scene.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good music, entertainment and clientele! We’ve been to New York one also but I absolutely loved the Vegas vibes! Shout to the lovely lady making balloon animals and hats, topping on the cake for a great night. There was also an awesome food truck around the corner for some midnight snacking.

Listen. This place may be off putting to some, it’s a good place with really great service. They’ve got an awesome happy hour. The bathrooms are clean. They play a jukebox box full of music. We were there early in the day so I can speak of all hours but it was a good chill experience. A bit grunge and dark but if that’s your vibe it’s up your alley. Overall, I’d go back.

I've been coming to this small bar for over 20 years, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere has that same welcoming vibe, and it's always a great spot to kick off the night. If you're looking to get the party started, definitely try the "Ass Juice"—it's a classic! This place may be small, but it’s packed with personality.

High-quality dive bar. I enjoyed the house “ass juice” for $4. It was much sweeter than I imagined it would be. Really friendly vibe. Great bartenders. Free music most nights. I can’t think of a single flaw, except that it doesn’t exist in SF or LA.
